Clarification regarding the press released made on 12 January 1998

A Press release was made on 12-01-1998 stating that the High Court had stayed the New Mangalore Airport Project.

On 12^th of January, when the matter came before the division bench, I along with my advocates Mr. C.B.Srinivasan, Mr. Sanath Kumar Shetty and Mr. Shivaram Bhat.O, were present in the Court Hall. After preliminary hearing all of us were under the impression that the interim order of stay was granted. But on obtaining the certified copy of the order sheet on 28-01-1998, we realised that though the notices were issued to the respondents , the stay was declined.

I have brought this fact to the notice of the Court and have made a prayer for the appropriate relief.

The confusion that has resulted due to this was not intensional.

We request you to kindly publish this clarification in your news paper.
